LANXESS Italy is currently seeking a strong, motivated and talented individuals with the appropriate sales and technical experience for the position of Sales Account Manager ITALY within the Inorganic Pigments Business Unit (IPG BU).

The IPG BU offer innovative product solutionas like Bayferrox®, Colortherm®, and Bayoxide® brands, comprehensive range of products that are used worldwide for coloring in various industrial applications.

 Location: LANXESS S.r.l. Italy, Milan

Geographical scope : Italy

Workplace type: Hybrid set up

Main Responsibilities:

  • To plan and prioritize sales activities, customers and/or prospective contacts towards achieving the agreed business targets.
  • Account management – e.g. customer visits, introduction of new products, customer seminars & distributor trainings, day-to-day trouble shooting relating to LXS product applications
  • Manage and optimize the IPG sales channel structure (Distribution/Reseller) of the respective region incl. Co-Producer in close cooperation with Global Distribution Management
  • Analysis of market data – visit reports, CRM Data, preparation of Country Concepts
  • Financial responsibilities – Price setting following the guidance from Regional Head of Sales
  • Budget preparation & controlling – annual budget preparation, analysis of business development. Other internal & external reporting requirements
  • Determine business opportunities & set up projects in close cooperation with Technical Service to generate new sales.
  • Various – sample management, project work, preparation of sales meetings, participation at fairs
  • Serve as the link of communication between regional accounts with HQ in country and other IPG internal stakeholders/teams
  • Liaise with marketing & align strategic targets
  • To provide customers with the basic technical support and solutions
  • To gather information (statistical and market one) regarding the market and suppliers in order to provide the transparency and potential of the new market.
  • To collaborate with the Head of Sales and the responsible support specialist by guiding and leading him/her in order to enhance the service quality. Lead and follow our innovation projects within the company and with our customers. Follow up the market developments
  • To prepare sales budget proposals and track sales development by preparing forecasts and annual/monthly sales reports /CRM
  • To manage and coordinate relations with traders and distributors and resellers. Defining sales strategies, targets.

 

 

Requirements

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree: Chemical, Technical Engineering, Material Science or Business Administration (optional)
  • 2-3 years of overall relevant sales experience, distributor management
  • Mandatory fluency in Italian and English /German is advantage/
  • Interpersonal skills with ability to gain respect and credibility with customers
  • Strong project management experience and analytical skills

  • Solid communication and presentation skills
  • Entrepreneurial Thinking, overcoming complexity
  • Team Player
  • Ability to work independently in remote conditions
  • IT Knowledge (Microsoft Dynamics CRM)
