LANXESS UK is currently seeking a strong, motivated and talented individuals with the appropriate sales and technical experience for the position of Sales Account Manager within the High Performance Materials Business Unit (HPM).
The HPM BU products plastics and composites, in particular two innovative product lines, polyamides and polybutylene terephthalate with focus on the automotive sector, but also on innovative fields of technology such as electric mobility.

Main Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of Sales South and Western Europe, the Sales Account Manager leads current sales activities within current mobility portfolio in UK and generate new business, identifies, acquires and commercializes new business at accounts within defined strategic industries and/or application areas.
Main Responsibilities:
- Sales (including commercial negotiations) and technical assistance for techno-polymers products (NYLON 6, NYLON 66, PBT, PBT/blend) for injection and blow molding technology
- Identification, start and follow up of projects (including documentation within CRM system)
- Recognize and evaluate new business opportunities at existing as well as new accounts as a basis for initiating, coordinating and commercializing new projects
- Proactively scout for new customers and applications according to the segments’ defined strategy
- Define and execute customer strategy approved by segment manager, managing sales and margin targets
- Develop, maintain and keep active and accessible non-buying accounts to prepare future business decisions
- Provide a regular feedback from the market and identify market opportunities and customer needs
- Prepare and execute a sales plan, budgeting and forecasting
- Coordinate Tech-Days/Workshops at key customers
- Coordination of legal contracts (quality-, price-, supply contracts)
Understand and manage increasing complexity of business landscape. Support customers choose the best product and assist them thoroughly from project start up to serial production process (validation tests, life time analysis and troubleshooting).
Many of activities are managed in cooperation with Marketing and R&D Corporate departments (based in Dormagen), as well as Lanxess worldwide.
